A major inventory of the Genealogy Collection will result in an important update of the online catalog to more accurately reflect State Library holdings and the physical location of materials within the Library. The inventory involved sifting through more than three thousand items not shelved with the main collection for lack of space. Holdings were added to bibliographic records or new bibliographic records were created where necessary. A new location code was created for items shelved on level 2, apart from the main collection on level 4, and every item on level 2 was tagged with a book mark to facilitate its return to the proper location when used.
